该炼化设施占地有 1300 - 1400 英亩 （约合 8000 亩）。1860 年代，建立了一个石油配送中心，从而开始了与石油相关的活动。1900 年代初开始原油加工，第二次世界大战期间开始全面生产汽油。2019 年，由于发生了大规模的爆炸，该设施的炼油业务停止。在关闭前的近 30 年期间，该场地进行了大量的土壤地下水调查修复活动，包括并不限于：

*   修复了超过 10 亿加仑的地下水

*   回收了 63.4 万加仑泄露的石油

*   安装了 208 口回收井

*   安装并采样了超过 1000 口监测井

*   安装了 27 个 （8 个依旧在用）的修复系统
